Sink your teeth into Shark Week 2026 on Discovery

Get ready to dive in—Shark Week 2026 returns to Discovery Channel and TDS TV/TDS TV®+ on Sunday, July 26 at 8 p.m., with a full week of jaw-dropping premieres, high-stakes expeditions, and fin-tastic stories about one of the ocean’s most powerful predators.

Now in its 38th year, Shark Week kicks off at 8 p.m. and runs through Saturday, Aug. 1, bringing 20 action-packed premieres to Discovery Channel. This year’s lineup blends science, adventure, and pop culture. It includes glowing sharks and prehistoric predators, record-setting stunts, and even a K-Pop-inspired mission that’s helping change perceptions of sharks around the world.

What to watch: the reel deal

Opening night starts with K-Pop Shark Heroes, featuring Ken Jeong and GRAMMY®-nominated artist REI AMI as they use music and culture to reshape how people think about sharks. The night keeps swimming with the return of the fan-favorite Air Jaws franchise in Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach, followed by Invasion of the Mega Sharks, which follows researchers tracking a massive great white in the North Atlantic.

Throughout the week, viewers can look forward to specials including Jurassic Sharks, which uses CGI to bring ancient sharks to life; Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets, where Josh Gates investigates whether an infamous sea monster may have been a shark; and Ultimate Shark Dive, featuring world-class cliff diver Molly Carlson attempting a record-setting dive into shark-filled waters. It’s a lineup with plenty of bite.

How TDS TV subscribers can join the feeding frenzy

TDS TV subscribers can catch all the Shark Week action on Discovery. On TDS TV+ it’s on channel 149 but if you don’t find it there, check your local channel lineup to confirm availability and times in your area.
