This week TDS TV On Demand brings several sequels, including the third installment of the “Taken” franchise. On television keep an eye out as the networks begin to wrap up the 2014-15 season.

BIG EYESBig Eyes
Tim Burton’s quirky and entertaining drama about painter Margaret Keane, who’s work was taken credit for by her husband. The films tracks her massive success in the 1950s and subsequent legal battles to take back control of her work and life. Amy Adams, as Keane, is magnificent. Available April 14.

Woman in Black 2, Angel of Death
Taking place 40 years after the first film, “Woman in Black 2” is about a group of children that arrive at Eel Marsh House during WWII. The film doesn’t have quite the same creep factor as the original, but there’s still a lot to make your skin crawl. Available April 14.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2
It’s a weaker version of the original, but just as crude and sophmoric. The jokes come fast and furious with things hitting their mark on occasion, making the trip worthwhile if your in mood for this kind of silliness. Available April 17.

Bad guys have killed Liam Neeson’s ex-wife. Neeson is framed for the murder by said bad guys. Bad move. Everyone’s favorite man with ‘a very particular set of skills’ has to find the true killers, clear his name, and protect his daughter. Available April 21.

Cake
Jennifer Aniston is excellent as an acerbic woman wracked with pain (both mental and physical) who becomes obsessed with the suicide of a woman in her therapy group. Available April 21.

TV Highlights

Timothy OlyphantJustified
The fine ride that is “Justified” is about over. Tune in one last time as Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) looks to take down the bad guys. Tuesday, April 14, FX.

Deadliest Catch
It’s a new season (the 11th) chronicling the often dangerous lives of Alaskan crab fishermen. Tuesday, April 14, Discovery Channel.

daredevilMarvel’s Daredevil
The superhero genre comes to Netflix in this first of five original series (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders are next in line). “Daredevil” details the exploits of a blind lawyer who uses his heightened senses to fight crime. Charlie Cox is great as the title character, and the first rate cast, which includes Rosario Dawsom, Deborah Ann Woll and Vincent D’Onofrio really makes the show shine. Available now. Netflix.

Orphan Black
Get on board for the 3rd season of this amazing sci-fi thriller about a street-wise woman who gets mixed up a twisted mystery. Saturday, April 18, BBC America.

50th Academy of Country Music Awards
Expect some of country’s hottest artists to be hand for the CMA’s 50th anniversary. Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton co-host. Sunday, April 19, CBS.

Get set for the premiere of one of comedy’s funniest performers. Expect lots of snark and self-deprecating bits from the talented Schumer. Tuesday, April 21, Comedy Central.

The Americans
Don’t miss the season finale of this riveting drama. “The Americans” has shaped up into one of the best show’s on television. Wednesday, April 22, FX.

Rocky_HorrorThe cult classic “Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be remade as a TV movie for Fox. “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega will oversee the project.

The “Vampire Diaries” Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert, will be leaving the show at the end of this season.

Netflix has ordered a 4th season of “House of Cards.”

Also coming from Netflix is “The Get Down,” a hip-hop drama from filmmaker Baz Luhrmann (“The Great Gatsby,” Moulin Rouge”).
