TDS receives many invitations to participate in events, become a corporate sponsor, or simply donate items for giveaways. Unfortunately we can’t say yes to all of them. However a couple we recently said yes to include Links for Lauren and Ducky Days.
Links for Lauren
This annual event raises research funds and awareness for Neurofibromatosis (NF), a condition that causes tumors to grow along nerves throughout one’s body. NF can cause learning disabilities, hearing loss, and scoliosis. It affects one in every 3,000 children born and is the most common neurological disorder caused by a single gene.
This year, Links for Lauren (a golf outing and reception) was held on Aug. 22, 2015 at University Ridge in Madison, Wis. TDS was a corporate sponsor this year; the third year TDS and employees have joined this effort. Product Manager Pat F. volunteered to help out on the planning committee this year. He also participated in the event, along with several other TDS employees. All funds raised benefit the cutting-edge research done at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Biotechnology Center.
The event raised upward of $4,000 for NF research!
13th annual Ducky Day
Coming up on Sunday, the 13th annual Ducky Day event tips off in Tipton, Ind. TDS is a major supporter of the event, along with the Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital. The family-friendly event is a gift to the community from the Tipton County Foundation. There will be games and live entertainment throughout the afternoon. Click for details.
Hanging banners in Fayetteville, Ohio
Our Field Service Techs recently lent a hand—and a bucket truck—to the Fayetteville-Perry school district. The district needed some help hanging sports banners and our TDS folks were happy to make that happen. Go Rockets!
