Commercial power has been restored to many locations in the path of the storm bringing TDS services back up to customers. Our North Carolina, Quincy, Florida, and South Carolina operations are operating as business as usual and customers have been reconnected to services.
We are still awaiting commercial power restoration in:
- Nelson, Georgia
- New Castle, Virginia

Please know we cannot begin any work on our own downed lines until power companies complete their repairs. Our technicians are charging battery backups to maintain power to critical sites that support first responders, hospitals, and care facilities.
In Hyden, Kentucky, commercial power has been restored but we need to make additional repairs to reconnect the final customers.

We are assessing damage in our Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia service areas in the path of Hurricane Helene. Services in some communities are being impacted due to high winds and commercial power loss, and in others we have been unable to access our equipment sites due to closed roads and fallen trees. As you make your own assessments today, please stay safe and know we are working to restore services as quickly as conditions allow.
