Installations of TDS Fiber service begin in Stevens Point

Did you see the news? TDS Fiber service has launched in Stevens Point! This means nearly 1,000 addresses in this community can now get internet up to 1Gig, TDS’ all-digital TV service, TDS TV®, and phone options. Even better, thousands more addresses will soon follow.

“I am excited to see the first customers getting connected,” said Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza. “TDS has been a great supporter of events all over central Wisconsin and I look forward to that relationship continuing.”

We are too, Mayor Wiza!

Since construction began on the project, we’ve buried more than 100 miles of conduit—but we’re not done yet. We’ll be working in the coming months and, when we’re done complete, the network will reach more than 12,000 addresses.

Stan and Karen, in the picture, registered for service and agreed to be our very first Stevens Point customers. They kicked the tires on the service a few weeks back—and we’re so pleased they like it!

“We are very happy with our service. The picture quality is much better. Our internet speed is much faster. From the time we spoke to the guys that buried the fiber in the neighborhood to when our install was complete everyone has been very friendly and informative. We will definitely recommend TDS to all of our neighbors!”

Residents and businesses who registered for service in areas that are launching will be contacted to schedule their installations. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to get the best offers!

Visit TDSFiber.com to register, see the latest launch dates, and sign up for notifications.

I signed up July 2019 and was told when giving the rep 25.00 (who came to house) that service would be installed that September. Was impressed by rep and services I signed up my 92 yr old mother. It’s April 2020, no service yet and no one has returned phone calls or had the descency to make us aware of the delay BUT THEY HAVE OUR 25.00 since July!!!! Very disappointing!!!!
