Seen on Pinterest: Gluten Free for Beginners

We’ve recently discovered that a member of our family has Celiac Disease — the condition that causes an intolerance to wheat based products or those containing gluten. It’s not a pleasant discovery, but certainly one that is easier to live with today than it would have been a decade before. Now, nearly every grocery store has products with prominent “gluten free” ingredient labels and many apps, entire websites, and even magazines are dedicated to “living without.” In fact, many people have opted to try the G-Free lifestyle for weight loss purposes and overall health. Think of it as a less extreme version of the Paleo or Caveman diet that many people have also opted to try.

In helping our family member come up with new ways to re-engineer their lifestyle, we turned to Pinterest to catalog our recipes and common gluten-free conversion options.
