June 16-20 marked TDS’ third annual Spirit Week — and what an incredible week it was!

Our associates came together to celebrate and embody our core company values in their communities through a series of daily themed events. These events focused on driving customer loyalty, investing in people and communities, fostering teamwork, acting with integrity, and championing inclusivity.

Our most impactful day during Spirit Week was TDS Cares Day on Tuesday, June 17, where our associates demonstrated their commitment to investing in people and their communities through acts of giving—including donations and volunteer work.

We are proud to share that we contributed over $10,000 to worthy causes across our footprint. These donations were accompanied by hundreds of volunteer hours made possible through TDS’ Be Good Citizens Program, which grants our associates 16 hours of paid volunteer time each year.

Examples of TDS Cares Day activities included:

Madison, Wisconsin:

We donated care bags to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison, delivered gift cards and wish list items to Centro Hispano in Madison, donated books to Madison Reading Project, and assembled and delivered birthday party bags to Badger Needs Network. Additionally, during our Brats and Barks associate event, we presented a $500 donation to Brown Paws Rescue, which led to the heartwarming adoption of two dogs from the non-profit.

Fox Cities, Wisconsin: We donated $500 to Pillars, an area shelter for the unhoused.

Central Wisconsin: Associates made a significant impact by donating $800 to Huey’s Hideaway Children’s Museum (Medford), volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse (Wausau), and sponsoring events like the Community Cultures Festival in Wausau. Additionally, we donated a $500 Michaels Craft Store gift card to RISE UP Central Wisconsin for community art education supplies.

Central Oregon: Associates kicked off festivities at the LaPine Community Kitchen, presenting a $1,500 donation toward a much-needed new facility. They also visited the Habitat for Humanity La Pine Sunriver Restore and donated $1,000. To wrap things up, our Central Oregan associates traveled to Bend and presented the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance with a $1,000 donation!

Billings, Montana: Associates volunteered their time and assisted older adults with necessary yard work through the organization Allies in Aging.

St. George, Utah: Associates participated in a group service project for Habitat for Humanity.

Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and Rathdrum, Idaho: Associates presented thank you baskets to local chambers of commerce for all they do to help TDS and other businesses in the community.

Butte, Montana: Associates showed their appreciation for first responders, delivering coffee and donuts to the local police department.

Spirit Week was a remarkable time filled with countless opportunities for collaboration, team building, and giving back. We are so proud of our incredible associates for their unwavering dedication to making positive local impacts. Together, we continue to build a brighter future for TDS and our communities!
