TDS to sponsor American Family Children’s Hospital Radiothon

Radiothon_Cover_before_Sponsor-2TDS Telecom is showing its support for the world-class American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH) and the thousands of kids it serves every year by sponsoring one hour of this year’s AFCH Radiothon. The event raises money for the hospital through donations and runs for three days. It kicks off on Wednesday, May 7 and goes until Friday, May 9. During that time DJ’s from Midwest Family Broadcasting’s Today’s Q106 and 93.1 JAMZ will broadcast from the hospital’s lobby for 13 hours each day. TDS’ sponsored hour begins at 3 p.m. on May 9.

Last year’s AFCH Radiothon raised more than $613,300! Money raised from the event has been used to build eight rooms in the hospital’s new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. It’s also paid for 1,440 dinners, provided 350 gas cards to families traveling long distances for their child’s care, and funded financial support grants to help families cover their basic financial needs.

American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wis. is a premier medical and surgical center. In fact, U.S. News and World report named AFCH one of the best children’s hospitals in six specialties. Since opening in 2007, it has played host to patients from 49 of the 50 states. The 61-bed facility (soon to be 87) is also not-for-profit.

Please, mark your calendars now and tune into to 93.1 JAMZ and Today’s Q106 May 7–9. If you’d like more information about AFCH and some of the amazing work they do you can click here.
