The warming weather in Wisconsin is improving road conditions, allowing our teams to largely return to business as usual. There could still be some delays as technicians continue to dig through snow piles to access network equipment, but those should resolve as the snow melts.
In Michigan, all sites are back up in the Chatham area. Current road conditions continue to be a challenge and could limit access to certain locations for the time being, although we are mostly back to normal operations.
Again, thank you for your patience and for being a TDS customer.

A new round of snow has hit Central Wisconsin with ice and rain also expected across the region, including Minnesota.
In Wisconsin, road conditions haven’t significantly improved in many areas, but we continue to focus on resolving individual customer issues. In some cases, we are also experiencing delays due to shoveling out network access points. With the weather warming at the end of the week, we will be bringing in additional resources to help work through any rescheduled orders and service troubles.
In Michigan, secondary roads remain impassable and we are still experiencing commercial power loss in many locations. Our teams are doing their best to respond to any service difficulties, but delays are expected.

Tuesday, March 17

Despite clearing skies, travel in the wake of Winter Storm Iona remains a challenge. Unplowed roads and ice are creating treacherous conditions in many locations. We are making every effort to maintain scheduled appointments, but the safety of our technicians remains paramount. You will be notified if we need to reschedule.
One specific note about Chatham, Michigan: Loss of commercial power is impacting services in some locations. We would also like to thank the village for their assistance this morning to help us dig out and reach our central office.

We are closely monitoring Winter Storm Iona and its potential impacts in our service areas. Forecasts indicate the possibility of strong winds, heavy snowfall, sleet, and freezing rain across much of the Upper Midwest which may lead to power outages and/or TDS service disruptions.
TDS teams are prepared and ready to respond to service interruptions as quickly as conditions allow. In the event of power outages, our crews must wait until power is restored to repair our network.
While the storm’s impact is still uncertain, we encourage customers to stay informed by visiting our outage information page.
