Wisconsin resident celebrates 40 years at TDS

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is congratulating Kevin Boehnen of Cross Plains, Wisconsin on his 40th anniversary at the company. Boehnen started on Jan. 30, 1984, and has filled several roles at Mid-Plains telephone company and then TDS, which acquired Mid-Plains in 2001.

Boehnen began in the call center and retail store then worked on both the residential and business side before moving into product management. There, he worked on the rollout of long-distance phone products, new voicemail systems, and initial versions of residential internet. In addition to new products, he also saw processes dramatically shift from manual to computerized over the years.

Boehnen credited his longevity in part to his supervisors, who helped him grow and achieve his goals.

He added that TDS’ support for the communities it serves, as well as for Veterans, made it clear the company shares his values. Boehnen is a long-time member of the Cross Plains Lions Club and Sons of the American Legion Post 245, Cross Plains-Middleton.

“It makes me proud to be an employee of a company that reaches out to the community and reaches out to veterans,” Boehnen said. “It doesn’t go unnoticed, and I am very appreciative.”

“Kevin is an absolute joy to have on the team. When it comes to Kevin and his 40-year milestone, the first thought that comes to my mind is the profound dedication he has provided to TDS. His unwavering commitment to be a team player and willingness to jump in and help when he is needed,” said Darletta Bauer, Boehnen’s supervisor and TDS manager of billing analyst and support.
