One of TDS’ core values is giving back to the communities in which we live and work – particularly by supporting organizations focused on providing basic needs and supporting DEI&B (diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging) and STEM initiatives. We practice being good citizens and strive to help our communities grow.

Each year, TDS teams up with the United Way of Dane County in Wisconsin to provide financial assistance to the organization and its nonprofit partners. Through this partnership, associates can give to any United Way throughout our communities in roughly 30 states.

TDS’ United Way campaign included a kick-off event for Dane County associates to increase engagement and bring awareness to this year’s fundraising goals. Activities included a silent auction for parking spots and guest speakers from the United Way who shared personal and professional experiences. Associates in Great Falls and Billings, Montana, held similar events.

TDS’ Women in Technology Associate Resource Group hosted a Lunch and Lean with representatives of the United Way and The Road Home (Dane County), a nonprofit committed to ending family homelessness by developing long-term relationships with homeless families with children. The campaign also included weekly incentives such as a free day off, lunches with company leaders, and TDS-branded apparel.

Thanks to our associates, the company raised $90,000 for the United Way to distribute throughout TDS communities and aid important causes such as affordable housing, health care for those in need, childhood literacy, and many more!

As 2025 approaches, we look forward to future success working with great community partners like the United Way!
