Community Connections: Ice Bucket Challenge, Partying for a Purpose

Employees from TDS have been busy making strong community connections through their good works and efforts. Here are a few recent examples:

Party For a Purpose
Party for a purpose_smTDS employees put together a team and participated in Party for a Purpose’s Cancer Awareness Event 5K run/walk in Monticello, Minnesota. All of the money raised by the non-profit stays in the community to help cancer patients. TDS manager Chad H., also dyed his hair and put glitter in it to show his support.

TDS Telecom employees Kim H., Bo N., Sherry S., Terri F. and Sue C. all helped with this year’s event.

TDS employees raise $1,600 for charities
TDS manager, Jeff M., recently held a meeting with his team. In Jeff’s words he wanted to “shake things up.” So, he encouraged his team to donate to the charity of their choice.

Total the group raised $1,600. As a reward for the team’s generosity, Jeff and other managers let their direct reports douse them in ice cold water.

TDS Field Service Technician Juan C. entered and drove one of TDS’ vehicles in the annual Quechan Indian Days parade in Yuma, Arizona. This picture was taken by a spectator as earlier this month as Juan and the truck made their way down the parade route.
