California service outage updates

This blog will provide ongoing updates for customers in the Coffee Creek, California area on the status of service outages resulting from the September 2021 River Complex wildfires.

Update 3:10 p.m. Sept. 17:

TDS completed repairs to damaged fiber at approximately 4 p.m. PDT Sept. 16. Additional repairs may be needed in evacuated areas, which will be evaluated as access is allowed.

Update 7:45 a.m. Sept. 16:

Crews were able to access the site yesterday and continue working today to repair the damage. There is currently no estimated restoration time. We will continue to post updates as more information becomes available.

Update 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14:

TDS services are out for some customers in the Coffee Creek, California area due to a nearby wildfire. Because of road closures, TDS crews were unable to access the outage area until earlier this afternoon. TDS has lined up crews to repair the damaged facilities on September 15, assuming access to the area remains open. We will post further updates as information becomes available.
