In many portions of our service area, TDS associates will go door-to-door as part of our informational and sales campaign. We feel it’s important to talk directly to residents about our high-quality products and services and to demonstrate what they could mean to you and your family.
However, as we continue working to upgrade our network, there may be unscrupulous individuals who claim or imply they work for TDS. In light of that, we want to share what to expect from our licensed door-to-door sales associates, who are committed to safely executing informational sales campaigns.
First, TDS associates and contractors will always have TDS identification. Anyone who is not clearly identified as a TDS associate or contractor does not speak on behalf of the company. If you suspect the person who comes to your door is not an official TDS representative, please contact your local authorities.
If we are close to turning up service in a neighborhood, a door-to-door sales associate will ask residents if they would like to sign up prior to service launching. That way, TDS can start working on getting your services installed when the area is ready.
Residents who sign up will be asked to swipe their credit card on a card-reading machine. TDS associates or contractors do not have access to credit card information. TDS uses a secure, third-party vendor to collect and safeguard your credit card information. Once you sign up, we will schedule a date to install your high-quality services.
