As the summer rolls on, we hope you’ve been able to get some time away and enjoy a favorite vacation spot.

We recently asked TDS associates for some of their go-to travel destinations. With associates in 31 states across the country, their suggestions were truly coast to coast – and beyond!

Mary H.: When I was a kid, my family went camping “up north” in Wisconsin every summer. Continuing that tradition, my husband and I brought our kids up to the Northwoods most summers. Now in our later years, my husband and I are going tent camping once again this summer. Our favorite campgrounds are in the Nicolet-Chequamegon National Forest (pictured above). You won’t find any stores or swimming pools or bars or even electricity here. Just a clear lake with a boat launch and lots of fish, a very spacious, wooded campsite (that you can pull your boat right up to) with a fire pit, a picnic table, and nearby a water pump, pit toilets, and usually a swimming beach.

Ashlie S.: Last year we traveled to St. George, Utah. We spent time at Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. We had an amazing time and it is a beautiful part of the country.

Jeffrey G.: Crystal and Muskie Lake Campground in Vilas County, Wisconsin, is our campground of choice. Crystal Lake has sandy beaches all the way around with the clearest and freshest water ideal for swimming and kayaking.

Curt C.: Our favorite vacation place is Disney. We are closer to Disneyland so that’s where we go most of the time. We have a trip planned to Disneyland this coming November. We also like doing lake days here in Central Oregon. Scout Lake is a favorite and camping at Suttle Lake is always fun.

Brad F.: We just visited Twin Falls, Idaho (pictured below) and it was beautiful!

Trisha J.: I vacation every other year in the Netherlands. My best friend lives in Rotterdam, so I have the opportunity to explore different areas of the country. We will be spending time on Texel Island this September.

Britt M.: Tillamook, Ore. and LaCenter, Wash. I’ll be there in August.

Darcy S.: Northern Wisconsin is my favorite place to vacation – specifically Vilas County. The lakes and woods let me relax and enjoy. I love hiking in the American Legion State Forest, reading a book by the lake, and kayaking early in the morning before the boaters are out.

Garret B.: Easily the Oregon Coast. From Coos Bay to Newport/Lincoln City to Seaside/Astoria!

Heather W.: Southern Maine, specifically the Portland and Sebago Lake areas. This is where I grew up, so I try to visit family twice per year if I can. It’s also just a beautiful place to visit!

Kelsey L.: Pictured Rocks in Munising, Upper Michigan (pictured below). There are a number of campgrounds and state parks nearby, and even though we visit annually, we still have lots of trails and experiences left to explore! It’s beautiful. There are also waterfalls and charming cafes.

Mary C.: Saint Lucia, West Indies. Beautiful!!!! Looking forward to the white sandy beaches, beautiful twin peaks, luscious rainforest and the only drive-in volcano in the world. Can’t wait to explore the food, the people and magical scenery.

Dawn N.: Colorado Springs – Pikes Peak Region. Incredible hiking trails, the Garden of the Gods, Broadmoor Seven Falls, and lots of great restaurants and microbreweries if that’s your thing.

Lori L.: The North Shore of Lake Superior (Minnesota) – Gooseberry Falls is fantastic, as is Palisade Head. On the southern side, the Apostle Islands & Bayfield, WI are another favorite.

Mike S.: Olongapo, Philippines — my wife’s hometown and a great place to explore as it’s close to Subic Bay.

Anna E.: I’m headed to Korea in late August/early September to visit my daughter.
