Good news, TDS TV customers: you’re getting a preview weekend of HBO and Cinemax! The shows and movies on all of these channels will appear in your channel lineup starting May 14 and won’t end until Monday, May 17.
It’s true—HBO & Cinemax are giving you FOUR days to check out all of the great movies and shows available to watch. Don’t forget that, beyond what’s available on your TV, you also enjoy everything available in the HBO and Cinemax video on demand libraries.
Here are some ideas for what to watch:
I Know This Much is True. HBO. Mark Ruffalo stars as twin brothers in this limited series based on the novel by Wally Lamb. One reviewer described it as “brave and touching and fearless” and Ruffalo’s performance is getting rave reviews. Catch up on previous episodes and watch the newest on Sunday night!
Insecure. HBO. Season 4 is now airing! Issa Rae stars as Issa Dee, a woman struggling to navigate the tricky professional and personal terrain of LA with her best friend Molly. New episode on Sunday!
Betty. HBO. This new comedy series is a spinoff of the 2018 film Skate Kitchen and centers on a group of women trying to stand out in New York’s predominantly male world of skateboarding. Catch up on demand and then watch the newest episode on Friday.
Run. HBO. This faced-paced series may seem like a thriller in the trailer, but it’s actually a comedy and romance story—but not necessarily a typical one. The series follows Ruby who’s humdrum life is shaken up by her college sweetheart Billy’s text inviting her to drop everything and fulfill a pact they made 17 years before. There’s a new episode on Sunday (but watch the others on demand).
Strike Back. Cinemax. Now in it’s seventh season, this show centers on a covert special-ops team. You can catch up on Cinemax Go!
We’ve said it before but we’ll say it again that you should really not miss the HBO docu-series McMillion$. Available on demand, follows the con that allowed one man to rig the results of McDonald’s popular Monopoly game for a decade.
