TDS TV adds new channels!

Good news, TDS TV® customers, we’ve added more channels! Check out what’s new in the lineup:

BBC America HD
You now get all your favorites from across the pond in crisp, clear, HD including: Sherlock (season 4 is coming soon!), Orphan Black (just renewed for its fifth and final season!), Dr. Who (there’s a new companion!) and Top Gear (next season won’t have Chris Evans!). Channel 1144, Expanded HD tier

BBC World News HD
This news and information channel is broadcast live around the globe 24-hour hours a day. In addition to live reporting, BBC World News offers interview programs (like HARDtalk), documentaries (how about a show about one woman’s mission to help deaf children?), and more. You can find a list of all of the programming here. Channel 1145, Expanded Plus HD tier

SundanceTV and SundanceTV HD
The channel launched by Sundance founder Robert Redford is now on TDS TV! Tune to watch documentaries, independent movies, short films, and original programming. Shows include Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter and The A Word, and you can catch the Academy-award winning Monster’s Ball plus other top-rated movies. Channel 788 (SD,) Expanded Plus tier/Channel 1788 (HD), Expanded Plus HD tier

NickMusic_smNickMusic
Starting on September 9th, MTV Hits will become NickMusic—a 24-hour music video channel for kids. As you might expect by the “Nick” in the name, the newly re-branded offering will be curated by Nickelodeon, the super-popular kids network. The channel will show videos from kids’ favorite artists, plus guest DJs (it’s safe to bet they’ll be Nickelodeon stars), and celebrity interviews. After it launches, you can find NickMusic on channel 510 as part of the Expanded Plus package.

Correction 9/12: The original posting of this blog inaccurately said that NickMusic was part of the Basic programming package. Thank you to Samantha for pointing out the error and we do apologize for our mix up.

So excited about Sundance, but they don’t have TDS listed on their website yet, so we are unable to watch online programming.

What about NBA TV? That is long overdue (and should be included in the top tier).

What happened to AMC in Hi-Def? The Walking Dead comes back on February 12, 2017, and now I have to not watch it in Hi-Def, but in your stupid digital mini screen.
You guys are so rinky dink TV.

Duane, if you have a subscription to HD, you should be receiving AMC as well. Please call and speak with our repair team so they can troubleshoot with you (1-888-225-5837).

As for the small screen issue, I believe you’re talking about the borders that appear with certain aspect ratios? An easy way to fix this is to press ‘Enter’ on the remote (bottom right corner), then select ‘Zoom’ to get the correct one.

      I hope this helps!

Thanks for your comment, Ken. Overall viewership wasn’t strong so we didn’t renew our contract to continue carrying it. Since it’s content you’re missing, feel free to put in a vote for it to return by filling out a request form: https://tdstelecom.com/shop/tv/channel-request-form.html
