Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Macy Gray
You probably remember Macy Gray from her hit song, "I Try" but today's featured album is her sixth studio effort. "Covered," which you can probably guess, is an album of all covers. Covers are a much underutilized tool in the business today and Gray is able to take songs like “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica and turn it into a super funky, soulful track. Or a staple like “Creep” by Radiohead and make it sound nearly original. For $5, you can rediscover her unique vocal style and score a great album to boot.
10 cakes perfect for your spring/Easter table: Seen on Pinterest
These fruit-forward and lightened-up cakes and pies are making us ready for spring. (After all, ham doesn't need to be the star of the Easter dinner if you don't want it to be!)
Weekly tech news roundup for March 10
This week: reviewers get their hands on the Nintendo Switch, there's a new Fitbit in town that may have just what you've wanted in an attractive package, and the next gen batteries may be safer AND last 3x longer. Also, a new kind of image search is now available, Amazon speaks Spanish, and check out some Friday fun (leopards loose in London! Peeps dioramas!).
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Simon and Garfunkel
Simon and Garfunkel seem to be one of those bands where you remember where you were and what you were doing when you first heard them. Tracks like “The Sound of Silence” or “Mrs. Robinson” are so iconic even to this day; it’s hard to not be aware of the classic duo. Their sound evolved a bit over the years to shed the folk rock label, but there is no denying their place in music history because of their original stuff. Well worth $5 bucks for sure, but also worth your hour today.
Hollywood’s biggest stars are coming to TDS TV on Demand
March brings some of the biggest movie stars in the business to TDS TV on Demand. Star power doesn't get any bigger than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who headlines the latest Disney animated blockbuster "Moana." And we can't forget about A-lister Will Smith, who stars in the gut wrenching drama "Collateral Beauty." Still looking for some more high wattage headliners? How about a romantic ride to a distant planet with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in "Passengers." And finally, the stars don't get much brighter than Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, who power the award-winning "Fences."

Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Lynyrd Skynyrd
Their mix of southern rock and blues is often imitated but never duplicated. When a Skynyrd tune comes on the radio, you have no doubt who it is. When "Second Helping" hit the charts so soon after their first album, critics were looking for a reason to shoot it down—but they couldn't. “Sweet Home Alabama” helped drive this album to #12 on the charts and the band to a place in music history.
