At TDS, we regularly negotiate with programming providers as part of our ongoing effort to deliver our customers the best selection of TV channels at an affordable price.
Occasionally, those contract negotiations lead to a change in our channel lineup in certain markets. No final decisions have been made, but we want to let customers in St. Mary’s, Georgia and the Tennessee towns of Halls Crossroads, Farragut, Mt. Juliet and LaVergne know about a potential channel change on the horizon.
TDS is currently in negotiations with Fox Sports Networks. If we cannot reach an agreement, we may be forced on Feb. 24 to take down Fox Sports Southeast, which carries a variety of sports programming including Atlanta Braves games, as well as Atlanta Hawks games (in Georgia) and Memphis Grizzlies games (in Tennessee). It can be found on channels 601 (standard) and 1601 (HD). NOTE: TDS will continue carrying Atlanta Braves, Nashville Predators and Carolina Hurricanes games on Fox Sports Net South, channels 600 (standard) and 1600 (HD).
We’ve emailed customers in those markets about this situation, and will do so again when we have more info. Of course, we’ll also share any updates here on the blog.
Whether you’re affected by this or not, thanks for being a TDS customer.
Note: Post updated on Feb. 19 to reflect new take-down date.
