Tennis Channel negotiations underway

TDS TV customers,

Our contract to carry the Tennis Channel has expired. Carriage rights for the Tennis Channel is part of a larger negotiation between the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) and the Sinclair Broadcasting Group.  The NCTC represents TDS, along with more than 800 other small and mid-size independent video and broadband providers, in a variety of programming agreements.  The Sinclair Broadcasting Group owns The Tennis Channel as well as 223 television stations across the county.

Negotiations continue but in the event that the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) and Sinclair Broadcasting Group do not reach a new agreement that extends carriage of the Tennis Channel, TDS will be required to remove it from our channel lineup in late November.

Sinclair and the NCTC are also in talks for carriage of additional channels, although those contracts will not expire until end of the year. We’ll keep you up to date on those negotiations as they progress.

Thank you, as always, for being for being a TDS TV customer.
