5 reasons fiber is better
Fiber-optic technology is the new gold standard for internet, phone and TV service—and it’s not just hype or marketing-speak. It offers very real benefits you’ll enjoy every.single.day. From speed (serious speed!) to increasing your home's value, there are five, very real, benefits of fiber you should know about.
How to simplify your life
Whether it’s work, personal commitments, or things you think you need to do (or all of the above!), you may really wish you could simplify—but “simplifying” looks a little bit different for everyone. And how to make it happen is a whole other challenge. TDS recently brought in an expert to speak with us about living simply. That session was so popular and helpful, we thought you might like to hear about it too :-).
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: System of a Down
Contrast in style makes the music world go ‘round. For every Barry Manilow there is an offsetting Metallica out there. And while my last featured artist, Mariah Carey, is about as quintessential pop as it gets, this week’s highlighted band, well…isn’t. System of a Down has a heavy metal sound with the matching hard vocal—but if you can roll with that type of rock; this Grammy-nominated band is unlike any you’ve heard before.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Mariah Carey
Selling half a billion records is an accomplishment only The Beatles and Elvis can lay claim to—but selling a quarter billion is still one heck of a feat. Today’s featured artist has hit that mark and is the third best-selling female artist of all time. No doubt her fifth album, "Daydream" contributed to that status (it was nominated for six Grammy Awards alone!). Today you can score it for only $5.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comes to TDS TV on Demand
Films don’t get much bigger than “Star Wars,” so we are excited to bring the latest from the celebrated franchise to TDS TV on Demand. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” was the biggest film of 2016, racking up sales of over $530 million for the year. But intergalactic action is not the only thing on the docket. There's also a war thriller, an award-winner, and a comedy and more.
Fox Business Network coming to TDS TV’s Expanded tier
Good news, TDS TV Expanded Basic subscribers—your channel lineup just got bigger. Starting today, you’ll find Fox Business Network on channel 210 in standard definition and channel 1210 in HD.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Don Henley
If winning Grammys is a sign you’ve got musical chops, Don Henley’s got them. His sophomore solo effort, Building The Perfect Beast was an instant success, spawning three major singles and being critically regarded as the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of Henley’s career. He won one of his eight Grammys for the single “The Boys of Summer” on this album that you can score today for only $5.
Seen on Pinterest: Hot for Herringbone
We're big fans of using Pinterest for home design inspiration, whether we're looking to do a whole-house reno or simply make a small update to a single room. Of late, herringbone, a distinctive pattern often used for tile or flooring, is perhaps the most popular trend seen on Pinterest. From entryways to backsplashes to bathrooms, herringbone is hot hot
Seen On Pinterest: Animal Themed Birthday Ideas We Adore
Thanks to Pinterest, Etsy, and even your local party supply store, birthday parties have become grand affairs, complete with their own theme. We scoured Pinterest and found what has to be one our favorite and most-flexible themes—Animals—with some ideas that are just too cute not to share. Whether you have a baby, toddler, or a child in elementary school, you can make this theme fit your party.
Clever Gmail login scam is still tricking people
We’ve told you about phishing scams before, and even scams that take advantage of your misspellings or fat-finger moments—but this one? It may just take the cake in terms of sneakiness. If you have a Gmail/Google sign in, listen up (and don’t open any attachments until you read this). But even if you don’t have a Google login, this kind of technique could be used for other services so keep reading.
