Protecting your eyes and cameras during the eclipse

With the solar eclipse fast approaching, it’s important to stay protected from the sun. Whether it is a normal day or an eclipse it is never a good idea to look directly at the sun, which is why experts are advising people to wear “eclipse glasses” for the upcoming eclipse on August 21st. People are also being advised to use solar filters on their cameras that will help reduce the brightness of the sun from damaging gear. Glow, helping people save energy

Have you ever wanted to know if you’re wasting energy and why your electricity bill is so high? Well, the creator of Glow felt the same way, which is why he designed a device that aims to reduce energy by letting you know when you’re wasting energy. Glow has sensors that provide energy use information, so if you’re saving energy it glows green, but if energy is being wasteful it‘s a yellow or red depending on the volume that’s wasted.

 

Verified Fans by Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster has a platform called Verified Fan to help eliminate bulk ticket purchases by bots and resellers. This feature allows fans to sign-up and they will be notified with a promo code that will allow fans access to a one-day presale. Hamilton, the Broadway powerhouse implemented this platform in their most recent ticket sales to help reduce the number of bulk ticket purchases for resale.

Amazon’s Instant Pickup

Amazon has yet again come out with a way to make shopping faster and easier for the consumer. The latest advancement is called “Instant Pickup” and it launched August 15th on five college campuses, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Berkeley, Calif., Columbus, Ohio, and College Park, Md. This new feature allows Prime and Prime Student members to pick-up daily essentials in two minutes or less at a fully staffed Amazon pickup location.
