About Austin Krueger
Austin works as a cost analyst for TDS Telecom in the Government and Regulatory Affairs team. He has a marketing degree from UW-Whitewater and has worked in various departments including marketing, sales and network services since joining TDS in 2004. He is a huge sports fan – if he’s not at work, odds are you can find him at Miller Park, Lambeau Field, Camp Randall or the Kohl Center watching the game. In his spare time, he’s chairman of a local non-profit, avid music fan, rec sports MVP and an early adopter when it comes to most new technologies.Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Harvey Philip Spector
If you're like this author, you have NO idea that the Christmas songs you always hear are from this album—which is probably why Rolling Stone considers it the #1 holiday album of all time. Give this iconic album a listen today!
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Frank Sinatra
For people that maybe don’t know, Sinatra was Elvis, Michael Jackson or The Beatles well before those artists picked up a microphone. His classic crooner sound appealed to everyone and shines through in every single Christmas standard. Celebrate his legacy today by picking this one up for only $5.99.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Michael Bublé
Some musicians are simply known for their vocal, so no matter what they’re singing about, you recognize the work. When it comes to Christmas music, while each artist has their own interpretation of the classics, they all tend to blend together. But given today’s featured artist’s voice, you’ll know from the first ‘up on the housetop’ who it is.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Josh Groban
He’s a regular on the talk show circuit, has made appearances on various iconic shows like The Office, and has even performed at the Super Bowl. Groban is approaching 50 million albums sold around the world in less than 20 years, which is no small feat—and this album is the sixth highest-selling Christmas album of all time.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Shania Twain
Shania has taken on a permanent residence in Las Vegas, with her first show opening next month and expecting to run at least two years. She put out an album as recently as 2017, potentially with more on the way. Come on over and treat yourself to a country icon today, you’re still the one that can go back and listen to some classics—and hey, she might even impress you much. Happy Tuesday!
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Freya Ridings
There’s nothing more exciting about learning about a new artist—especially a truly new to the industry artist. Sure some of them end up being total busts, but when you spot someone who appears on the brink of making it big, it’s a very fun thing to hear the start. Today’s featured act is just getting her feet wet, but seems poised for big things.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: George Michael
Unlike the youngest Bluth from the show Arrested Development, today’s featured artist was not only a real person, but arguably one of the biggest pop acts in history. Selling nearly 120 million albums worldwide in his career, the sales justify the statement. Throwback to this today, and for only $5 bucks, it's a steal. It’s a hard day to pass up that kind of deal, and I have all the faith you’ll enjoy it too.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Tool
Tool recently knocked Taylor Swift off the top spot on the charts with their unique, complex, metal sound. Take a listen to their top-selling (and Grammy Award-winning) album on the cheap and rock out this Tuesday.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Everclear
Today’s featured artist is considered a “nostalgia” act by many, but who says that needs to be negative? Afterglow provided Everclear with their first and only Grammy Award nomination, and it has sold nearly 5 million copies to date, making it their best-selling of all time. It may not be everything to everyone, but today it can be yours for only $3.
Cheap Tunes Tuesday: Roy Orbison
There are simply some people in music history that are simply iconic. Maybe they didn’t sell the most albums, or have the most No. 1 singles of all-time, but you can sing along to their greatest hits and name their popular songs. Today’s featured artist is undoubtedly a household name, and has a handful of tunes we all proudly belt out in the car.
